Growth is Easy
Guest Author: Kasia Manolas
I took the Build Once, Sell Twice course while resting in bed.
I watched the modules in the dark with headphones, took screenshots, and created an album on my phone with takeaways. Then, I got to work. I applied the teachings to my Twitter account as a playground and saw results (more on that below).
The course was the permission slip I needed to let everything be easy. To simplify. To understand growth on the Internet in a new way.
Lead the way
Growth is easy when you have a playbook.
Jack transparently shares his sales figures, audience size, and with his course, he’s giving us the play-by-play to follow in his footsteps.
We get to learn from someone who has already achieved growth on his own terms. If Jack can post thousands of times on Twitter, build an audience, cultivate ideas, create a product, and sell in the millions, then we can too.
Here’s a powerful takeaway from Jack’s career we can all take to heart: we’re not just teaching in our courses, we’re teaching by being.
Jack taught me the following through his actions:
- Twitter is a great way to grow an audience.
- Pre-sales work at gathering an audience and boosting sales.
- You don’t have to send out newsletters regularly. Speak when you have something to say.
- Tweeting images or short phrases are both effective at capturing attention.
- Video is impactful. Youtube is next on Jack’s radar.
- Above all else, provide value.
The power of social media is that any individual can show up online, cultivate a presence, and lead the way. We just all happened to find Jack as a guidepost.
Simplify the process
Growth doesn’t have to be complicated or stressful. Here’s a simple work-flow to borrow:
Don’t try to cultivate an audience → simply make noise with your ideas.
Don’t procrastinate about what product is the right one to release → simply listen to the audience who is resonating with your ideas.
All of us have experience and knowledge that can be productized.
Build a user flow
Your ideas will resonate with people differently depending on the platform. Where are your ideas resonating?
I learned from Jack to put in the most effort on Twitter. It’s grown the fastest for me. My tweets get anywhere from 30-70k impressions per 28-day period. That’s a lot of eyeballs on my work.
After taking Jack’s course, I started tweeting using his principles and this is what happened:
Do less, go further
We go further when we focus on less. Jack taught me to “say no” more often and stay focused on only a few impactful metrics. No shiny carrots allowed.
I cut my workload down by 75% using this process:
Not to mention, when we build once and sell twice, we literally sell in our sleep.
Stay focused & inspired
I started the Alpha newsletter in 2020. Every other week, I send thought juice to help creative entrepreneurs build their online presence and net worth. I’m focusing on letting it be easy for me, for you, for all of us.
I’d love it if you subscribed.
